___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ELA - Ms. Montgomery We're getting into the thick of ELA now that we're starting our 3rd week together. This week, we'll be reading two poems by Sylvia Plath and discussing what poetry actually looks like in an effort to break any preconceived notions. We will also be taking an assessment on Tuesday and Wednesday to try and capture what our student know and what they need to work on. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Math - Mr. Collins This week in math we will continue to explore the Greatest Common Factors and begin to explore the Least Common Multiples and use them to compose and decompose numbers. We will determine the GCF of two whole numbers less than or equal to 100 and the LCM of two whole numbers less than or equal to 12. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Science- Ms. Parker We are still working hard on experimental procedures. Students have been collecting data and learning how to communicate their results by drawing graphs correctly. We are learning how to use scientific lab tools to take accurate measurements from a an experiment. Next week , students will take a short quiz to assess their understanding and then complete an independent lab to demonstrate all aspects of a scientific investigation. This will be a lab grade.
Lab Safety Contracts are OVERDUE. This was a homework grade for this week. Students will be unable to participate in labs until this is signed and returned.
Lab Supplies needed for the classroom – Clorox wipes and paper towels please. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Social Studies - Ms. Crosson Greeting Aggie students and parents!
