ELA - Ms. Montgomery Week 1 is officially in the books! As we start to fall into a routine, we will kick this week off with one of my favorite short stories, "Lob's Girl." This week we'll be reviewing plot and its structure as well as putting it to practice with our short story. We will also be learning about making connections: text-to-self, text-to-text and text-to-world.
Math - Mr. Collins This week in Math we will solve problems using number patterns and common relationship between numbers. The objective is to help students to understand how to divide and share things differently and, how things with different cycles can occur at the same time.
Science- Ms. Parker What a wonderful first week of science!
IMPORTANT !!!We completed Lab Safety Training and your student needs to get the lab safety contract signed by a parent in order to be able to participate in classroom labs. Please ask them if you have yet to see that contract!
Next week, we will be reviewing and practicing the steps in a scientific investigation and learning how to use basic lab tools so that we can make quantitative measurements accurately.
SCIENCE CLASSROOM NEEDS: If you are able, please send in some class supplies. We are in constant need of Clorox Wipes to clean up labs, paper towels, and glue sticks. Thank you.
Social Studies - Ms. Crosson Greeting Aggie students and parents! We are off to an amazing start this school year! This week we will learn about geography highlighting important vocabulary terms. We will also look at the Five Themes of Geography and how we use them in our daily life. We will also learn about the essential parts of a map and their functions.
