___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ELA - Ms. Montgomery Hello! We've made it to the 4th week of school -- can you believe it? This week, we will be discussing figurative language VS literal language. We're talkin' similes, metaphors, personification and idioms. We'll be figuring out does "raining cats and dogs" actually mean that animals are falling from the sky?! We'll also be continuing with our study of poetry and even be creating our own poems about everyday objects. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Math - Mr. Collins This week in math we will continue to explore Greatest Common Factors using Distributive Property. We will also make connections with adding and subtracting fractions using the Least Common Denominator. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Science- Ms. Parker We have finished up our lab stations learning how to use scientific tools and take accurate measurements. Students demonstrated their understanding of scientific investigations by completing an independent lab and collecting and presenting data.
Next week, we will begin learning about atoms and elements and students will be doing their first small research project in class. Weekly homework has started and can be located on the Canvas home page. It is due each Friday.
Grades are posted in PowerSchool and not in Canvas. Please track your students progress in Powerschool.
Class supplies needed: Chlorox wipes, gluesticks. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Social Studies - Ms. Crosson Greeting Aggie students and parents! Here’s to another amazing week of school! This week we will look at the Five Themes of Geography and how we use them in our daily life. Then, we will begin our journey into the past by learning about early humans and the evolution theory about how they became us. To be the greatest students we can possibly be, remember to bring your charged computer and school supplies daily. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________
