___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ELA - Ms. Montgomery Hello and welcome to Week 36! We're well into Quarter 4: Our Heroes where the unit asks us, "what does it mean to be a hero?" We're in the process of discussing heroism and researching the various heroes that impact us. We are continuing with our Greek/Latin Root Words and have officially started book two! That means we're on Unit 10: "Carry On!" As always, we're working on our reading stamina with 10 minutes, daily, of free reading. Absences- If a student is absent, they are responsible for making up all missed work in a timely manner. This can be done through Canvas. There is a message on our Canvas homepage with specific directions on what to do when absent. Please make sure your student comes to class every day with their ELA folder, a charged Chromebook and their Chromebook charging cord. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Math - Mr. Collins This week we will conclude our Geometry unit. My students will explore concepts of surface area by representing solid figures using two-dimensional nets made of rectangles and triangles. We will end the week with a review of Whole, Part and Percent as we prepare for the End-Of-Grade Assessment. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Science- Ms. Parker
