Hello and welcome to Week 34! We're well into Quarter 4: Our Heroes where the unit asks us, "what does it mean to be a hero?" We wrapped "Tangerine" last week and discussed the heroic arc Paul had within the story. Now, we'll begin discussing heroism and explore the various heroes that impact us. We are continuing with our Greek/Latin Root Words and have officially started book two! That means we're on Unit 8: "If You Build It..." As always, we're working on our reading stamina with 10 minutes, daily, of free reading. Absences- If a student is absent, they are responsible for making up all missed work in a timely manner. This can be done through Canvas. There is a message on our Canvas homepage with specific directions on what to do when absent. Please make sure your student comes to class every day with their ELA folder, a charged Chromebook and their Chromebook charging cord. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Math - Mr. Collins
