Hello and welcome to Week 30! We're still in Quarter 3: Facing Challenges where the unit asks us, "when should we stand up for other and ourselves?" We will continue discovering our answers with the continuation of our novel study, "Tangerine" by Edward Bloor. We wrapped up Part Two before Spring Break, discussing concepts such as point-of-view, conflict, summarization techniques and symbolism. We are continuing with our Greek/Latin Root Words and have officially started book two! That means we're on Unit 4: "A Matter of Life and Death." As always, we're working on our reading stamina with 10 minutes, daily, of free reading. Absences- If a student is absent, they are responsible for making up all missed work in a timely manner. This can be done through Canvas. There is a message on our Canvas homepage with specific directions on what to do when absent. Please make sure your student comes to class every day with their ELA folder, a charged Chromebook and their Chromebook charging cord. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Math - Mr. Collins
