___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ELA - Ms. Montgomery Hello and welcome to Week 33! We're officially in Quarter 4: Our Heroes where the unit asks us, "what does it mean to be a hero?" We will continue discovering our answers with the continuation of our novel study, "Tangerine" by Edward Bloor. We wrapped up Part Two before Spring Break, discussing concepts such as point-of-view, conflict, summarization techniques and symbolism. During Part Three we'll be drawing connections between the novel, ourselves and the greater world. We'll also be looking at Paul and his actions through a heroic lens. We are continuing with our Greek/Latin Root Words and have officially started book two! That means we're on Unit 7: "Look, But Don't Touch." As always, we're working on our reading stamina with 10 minutes, daily, of free reading. Absences- If a student is absent, they are responsible for making up all missed work in a timely manner. This can be done through Canvas. There is a message on our Canvas homepage with specific directions on what to do when absent. Please make sure your student comes to class every day with their ELA folder, a charged Chromebook and their Chromebook charging cord. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Math - Mr. Collins
