Hello and welcome to Week 13! This week we'll continue with our Greek/Latin Root Words and start Unit 9: "Life, Light and Love." As always, we're working on our reading stamina with 10 minutes, daily, of free reading. Absences- If a student is absent, they are responsible for making up all missed work in a timely manner. This can be done through Canvas. There is a message on our Canvas homepage with specific directions on what to do when absent. Please make sure your student comes to class every day with their ELA folder, a charged Chromebook and their Chromebook charging cord. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Math - Mr. Collins
This week in math, we will engage in extensive review of all our Ratio and Proportions concepts in preparation for our Unit 2 Common District Assessment. Students will have an opportunity to further demonstrate their understanding by way of a Ratios and Proportions cumulating project. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Science- Ms. Parker
Next week, we will finish up our sound stations and begin investigating the properties of light waves. Students will be taking a virtual field trip into the Electromagnetic Spectrum to discover the uses of the waves. We will also be doing an eyeball dissection after break which is super exciting.
Absences: If a student is absent, they are responsible for going to Canvas and completing both the lesson and the associated assignment. Homework: is given weekly and counts for 10% of their grade. Many students are still not turning in homework. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Social Studies - Ms. Crosson
